Good friends of ours had this RV sitting in their driveway unused and it had known problems with roof leaks,
but the mechanics of the Ford itself were in excellent condition.
They offered it to us to fix up for our use at a very good price.

I bought it specifically for use as a site construction office for a home I was designing in Redding, California.
Since construction over-site would have required many five-hour drives to Redding, I felt the RV site office would ultimately save me money.
Since we planned to move it to Redding for 9 to 12 months, we didn't worry that we had no place to store it at home.

We put dozens of hours of work into the rehab including new carpet, drapes, new exhaust, refurbished generator, etc.
We also spent another 200% of the purchase price to get the roof fixed at a local RV shop.

After a lot of work and a couple test trips, one to Canada, we felt the vehicle was ready for the move to Redding.
Then, the construction of the home was postponed due to a lack of available funding, and we found the RV sitting in our driveway.

Ultimately, we were able to sell the refurbished RV for only a little less than we put into it.
