interests cars 2006 pontiac solstice

This must have been my "mid-life crisis" car... I felt I was due for a convertible.
I looked at a Miata and a couple other "sports cars," but none seemed to have the solid feel of this one.
I fell in love with the design and it was fantastic to drive... fast and hugged every turn.

I have never owned a car that drew so many looks.
One of our friend's kid asked her why all the good looking sports car were driven by old men.
The other look I enjoyed was from the state police when I would respond to an accident scene with my
fire/ambulance volunteer's plates and flashing light on the dash.

The main problem was that it had vertually no trunk space for road trips.
When travelling, we had to limit ourselves to one small duffle bag each.
In the end, it just wasn't practical and we traded it in for its opposite extreme, a GMC Acadia.
