personal interests community mentoring architecture

I have had the opportunity to work several times with Waldport High School drafting and architecture students under the guidance of David Wirick, honored teacher of year.

In addition to doing career day presentations, I did classroom presentations on working in an architecture office, the use of renewable energy in residential design,
and have also hosted students at my office and on my work site.

Renewable Energy Presentation

In 2007, at the request of a WHS physics teacher, I prepared and delivered a PowerPoint presentation on solar energy
and its applications in residential design and construction.
Photovoltaics, solar hot water, and trombe walls were some of the topics covered.
The presentation included actual examples from two of my most recent projects.
