ARCHITECT: TADAO ANDO (1989)

The Raika Headquarters building has many of the aspects of form and material I like.
The simple bold shapes and the strong use of poured-in-place concrete masses with exposed forming details are nicely done.
At the same time, I find that the space lacked off-setting color accents, other than the reception desk, that would, in my mind, have made it better.
This is reflected in my rating of 3.5 instead of 4.0.
