travel the caribbean martinique fort-de-france fort saint louis

Fort Saint Louis is a waterfront fortress that evolved from earlier ones began as early as 1638.
It has been known as Fort Royal and Fort de la Republique and is currently an active naval base and a listed historical site.
After we had walked to the Fort, we found a sign that said tours were arranged at the Tourism Center so we never went inside.
From the outside, the Fort is quite interesting, but nothing spectacular.
Its bulky profile is relatively low and without much detail.
