It's a two and a half hour bus ride from Belize City to the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich which are located in the west of Belize near its border with Guatemala.
This religious site consists of three courtyards laid out on the top of a hill with a north-south orientation.
Archeologists have dubbed these courtyard areas "A", "B", and "C". They are also doing work at more remote residential sites in the area.
The site is relatively small but quite interesting.
