travel germany rhineland palatinate bacharach im malerwinkel

Our large family group stayed at Im Malerwinkel, a beautiful inn at the foot of the Bacharach valley on the east side of town.
The historic half-timber inn was clean, well-appointed, and within easy walking distance of both downtown and Burg Stalach above.
They served a nice breakfast in a comfortable dining room.

We look glassy-eyed because we were at the end of a month long road trip around Europe and just realized we had to go home.
