travel europe italy campania naples
In 1978, we stopped in Naples to visit a cameo factory.
We didn't get a chance to see a lot of the city, but the part we did see had a very "lived-in" look.
The reputation at that time was that tourists shouldn't roam the streets of Naples on their own.
In 2013 we went to Naples to catch our cruise ship and again didn't get a chance to explore much the city.
My rating for Naples is only based on my limited exposure.
