travel republic of ireland lismore st carthage's parish church
ARCHITECT: WALTER DOOLIN (1881-84)

St. Carthage's Parish Church is a beautiful little Catholic church in the historic village of Lismore, Waterford County, Republic of Ireland.
We happened to wonder into the church on a quiet day in the village and were treated to the angelic voices of the young choir practicing in the organ balcony.
This masonry church in the Romanesque Revival style is indexed in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and is cleanly designed and nicely detailed.
The choral accompaniment of our visit made it the highlight of our visit to Lismore.
