The Karnan (the Core) is a medieval tower ion Helsingborg, Scania, Sweden.
It is what remains of an old Danish fortress that has changed hands back and forth between Denmark and Sweden since the 13th century when it was built.
It was considered the most important fortress in Denmark as it controlled the straight between Scania and Zealand.
Only a portion of the steps, wall, and a tower have been restored.
