travel north america united states california santa barbara boathouse at hendry's beach
Lynn and I stopped here for lunch on a road trip after seeing a recommendation on the internet.
The setting was great... a sunny beach at the foot of sandstone cliffs.
We ordered calamari for a starter and it was excellent with both small full squid and larger squid rings garnished with chives and a great aioli.
Lynn had a tuna melt sandwich and I had the fish tacos with three kinds of fish in soft tortillas, beans and rice, guacamole, pico de gayo, and crisp tortilla chips.
The beans and rice had a nice "punch" with seasoning that was not too over-whelming. The tacos were good, but had a little bit too much cilantro for my taste.
All in all, a very pleasant meal in a great atmosphere...
