travel united states idaho coeur d'alene bonsai bistro
We have eaten at Bonsai Bistro on both our trips to Coeur D'Alene.
I am particularly drawn by the exterior architecture of the building which is concrete, glass, and wood in a semi-Japanese contemporary style.
On the first trip, it was very crowded and we sat upstairs at the windows with nice views of the Lake and parkway across the street.
On our second trip, it was virtually empty and we sat downstairs on the "island" surrounded by the koi pond.
They also have a nice sunken patio area outside the lower level and open to the sky above but not the lake views.
I also have a partiality for tempura and sushi.
My tempura was fresh, crisp, and well prepared... as was Lynn's salmon.
The koi pond is a bit touristy, but, all in all, we enjoyed both meals.
