ARCHITECT: CONDE McCULLOUGH (1936)

The Siuslaw Bridge spans the Siuslaw River on the south side of Florence, Oregon.
It was built in 1936 and was designed by the reknowned engineer, Conde McCullough who was responsible for several classic bridges along Oregon's coast.
It is what is called a "bascule bridge" and, when opened, the double leaf displacement provides a 110 foot wide passage for ships.
