We stopped for a late lunch at Bryce Canyon Lodge just before they closed to set up for dinner.
The dining room was finished in woods with a nice vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses creating a comfortable, warm, atmosphere.
The dining room was clean and the service was pleasant.
My friend and I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered bison stew.
Perhaps it was the late lunch hour, but the fish and chips looked and tasted like prepackaged frozen fish and the fries were limp and greasy.
My wife says the gravy that came with the bison stew was very flavorful but the stew itself tasted like average canned beef stew.
The stew was supposed to come with a cheese biscuit, but they were out of them and, upon request, they substituted a couple slices of white bread.
The atmosphere and the good service brought the experience up to a 3 out of 5, good, rating.
Otherwise it was avereage or less. Not what I have come to expect from National Park dining.
