Wellington city center is a comfort-scaled business district with both historic and modern architecture set around the curving Lambton Quay.
It is nestled between Wellington Harbour to the southeast and green foothills to the northwest.
Lambton Quay itself is a clean curving street with nicely bricked sidewalks and many pieces of street sculpture and green spaces.
Is only a few blocks from Lambton Quay to Queens Wharf and the waterfront of Wellington Harbour.

Ruaumoko is the legendary god of quakes and volcanoes.
The sculpture is near the site of the former State Fire Insurance Building from which the letters on the column came.
