Wellington has a variety of historic and modern architectural styles...
There were several buildings in downtown Wellington that I admired and tried to research the architects online when I got home.
I could get realtors date of construction, but no reference to architects who designed them.

The old Public Trust Building in Edwardian Baroque architectural style, Wellington, New Zealand, 2018.
It is said to be the only surviving building made of a true New Zealand granite from Tonga Bay in north-west Nelson.

which later became the beginning of New Zealand's national library.

The winning design was chosen from 28 entries and its cost of $375,000 was very controversial.
