ARCHITECT: UNIDENTIFIED
Castle Cornet guards the harbor at St Peter Port, on Guernsey Island.
Germans occupied the castle fort during WWII and added reinforced concrete structures to house gun positions.
Some of these structures bear the name of a German girl over the entrance.
It is an easy walk around the marina from the dock area.
There is an entrance fee and virtually no parking available in the immediate area.
