Saxman Village is a tourist-oriented "village" displaying native Alaskan art and culture...especially totem poles.
There is a fairly large collection of totem poles, a central lodge for dance and ceremonies, and a an active carving house.
Even though present day natives running the totem carving business use some "modern" tools, it is still very interesting to see how the work is done.
