Our trips to the Hawaiian islands in 2011, and 2019 were both on cruises and we docked at the Cruise Terminal at Pier 11 next to the Aloha Tower.
Like it's sister Cruise Terminal across the water at pier 2, it was within a long walking distance (3.5 miles) of Waikiki Beach and downtown Honolulu.
Unfortunately, car rental agencies are not located at the terminal nor are there shuttle buses to the car lots.
In 2011, I had a fairly long walk back to the terminal from the drop off point of the rental car.
The next trip, we plan to take an Uber or taxi to the car rental agency.
