travel south america chile punta arenas plaza munoz gamero / plaza de armas

The Plaza Munoz Gamero, also known as the Plaza de Armas, is the main square in Punta Arenas and was declared a "Typical Zone" in 1991 by the National Monuments Council.
I visited the square on foot during my day in the city in 2024.
It is a nice park complete with lots of trees, grass, statuary, and fountains.
The square is surrounded by some historic architecture.
