Electrical experience has included almost every phase of residential electrical systems including main panels.
As Owner-Builder on these projects, I could get a permit to do my own wiring... subject to inspection by the regulating agencies.

Hands-on electrical experience included wiring the house for all outlets, switches, lights, and appliances using metal conduit.
I hired a sub to wire the main panel so that I could learn from him.
I negotiated with the power company to move their power pole out from right in my valley view sight line.
I also hired a helper to do wiring.
